Common Thread

In the state of Texas alone, an estimated 79,000 minors and youth are victims of sex trafficking. Many have never known an adult they could trust—but Common Thread is changing that. Their evidence-based and survivor-informed advocacy program pairs youth survivors with dependable, long-term adult advocates to help them create a recovery plan and stick to it.

It’s a program that works, but requires careful outreach and education to their youth audiences. We were honored to work with Common Thread to develop a brand identity and website that puts their youth and teenage survivors at the heart of their program.

The creative direction focused on “portraits of empowerment,” combining stylized portrait photography with custom illustrations and a bright color palette to communicate hope, renewal, and trust while emphasizing survivorship over victimhood.
